Viva Las Vegas!

Room with a view…

Earlier this year in celebration of a certain hubby’s special birthday, we hopped across the pond to Las Vegas, on an exceptional flight in ‘The Bubble’, Premium Economy with Virgin Atlantic (highly recommend).

Well. Vegas.

It was everything we imagined it would be, and weirder! A complete and utter whirlwind and attack on the senses, almost too much to actually take in, but wow, what an experience and honestly, SUCH great fun.

We stayed at The Bellagio but made sure to visit each and every other hotel on the strip to see what other weird and wonderful-ness was on offer. We walked miles. To counteract this, we ate way too much (for energy purposes…), sipped on the best Margarita’s we have ever had in ‘the home of the original Margarita’ – Hussong’s Cantina, (do not miss these) – and played the tables at The Golden Nugget on the Fremont Street Experience Downtown. Tick!

It wasn’t all food and tequila though (promise).

We took ourselves to watch the simply stunning ‘KÀ’ by Cirque Du Soleil at The MGM Grand. If you ever get the opportunity to see this show, just do it. There are really no words to do it justice – just grab the chance to see it with both Margarita filled hands if the opportunity ever presents. You wont regret it.

The shows kept on coming with an awesome night watching, (and singing very loudly with) The Tenors of Rock – another must visit if you get the opportunity. A group of 5 exceptionally talented vocalists, formed here in the UK, belting out all of the classics in a totally unique way. Whether you’re into rock music or think you’re not (you might surprise yourself), don’t miss these guys.

So, that’s all for now… just a teeny tiny snippet of our Vegas experience. Quite honestly, I’m still trying to process it all.

I’ll leave you with this beautiful, totally serene and peaceful snap of the mountain ranges on arrival into Nevada…

Oh the irony.
